Purchasing property in Suriname involves a three-phase process that prioritizes security and transparency. In the first phase, the buyer is required to fill out a form and provide various documents, including a passport, birth certificate, ID card, name, email, address. Once these documents are verified, the buyer receives an NFT containing terrain data and information on the previous and new owners.
In the second phase, the traditional notary process begins. If the buyer is not a Surinamese resident, a power of attorney is required to set up a limited liability company or foundation. Payment for the property can be made using USDT, Bitcoin, or ETH, and a sales contract and land/mortgage extract must be submitted. The transfer papers and purchase agreement are signed officially at the notary.
Finally, in the third phase, the conventional transfer of property occurs, and the new owner does not have to be present in the country. The transfer papers are provided to the new owner, and the property officially changes hands.
This three-phase process prioritizes transparency and security throughout the property purchase journey, ensuring that all necessary documents are verified and all transactions are carried out through a traditional notary process. By prioritizing security and transparency, buyers can be confident that their property purchase is legitimate and that their investment is protected.
The prices are denominated in Euros and are commensurate with the ETH valuation on the day of purchase. Upon acquisition of the NFT, buyers shall receive confidential correspondence via email indicating the commencement of the second phase. Subsequent to the NFT purchase, the property officially becomes the rightful possession of the buyer. In the event of a refund, the equivalent amount shall be remitted in ETH based on the Euro value originally stipulated for the property.
